The Loka Bar Stool begins with banana plant stalks, harvested by hand after the plant fruits. The fibres are stripped, sun-dried for several days, and twisted into durable rope. Each teak frame is carefully hand-sawn and sanded before artisans weave the rope tightly around it, creating a sturdy, textured seat full of natural warmth. A light varnish is then applied to seal and protect the finish, preserving both the look and longevity. The result is a stool that feels considered, organic, and full of quiet craftsmanship.
