Our seating collection begins with locally sourced teak wood, certified under the FLEGT licensing scheme to ensure it is both ethical and sustainable.

Our craftsmen use traditional joinery techniques, passed down through generations, to build each teak frame. The wood structure is then sanded to enhance its natural grain and smooth finish.

Synthetic rattan strands are carefully woven into the frame in varying patterns to provide different levels of firmness, depending on the chair. This intricate weaving process can take several hours to a full day per chair. The final piece is lightly sanded and finished with a protective varnish to preserve the teak.

We chose synthetic rattan for its durability and ability to withstand everyday use. Made from recycled materials, it aligns with our commitment to sustainability, making the Zara collection an eco-conscious choice for your home.
